Core Programs at a Glance

I’m Just Me Workshop

Our core program, this workshop is customized to meet your organization’s specific goals, schedules, and needs. It is focused on 4 foundational elements:

  • Self Acceptance
  • Positive Peer Pressure
  • Breaking Through Roadblocks and Overcoming Obstacles
  • Youth Wellness & Mental Health

These workshops are a way to develop student readiness to work in teams, live together, interact, and develop leadership skills. When students understand and appreciate their own diversity of styles and preferences for communicating and behaving in a group environment, their capacity for both leadership and teamwork grows. Programs can be also be customized to include workshops and mentoring that reach students and address the problems of bullying, stigmas, stereotypes and low self-esteem. We can also help your organization start an IJMM club!

Live Life Forward Program

LLF engages youth and adults  involved in the court system to establish a program of change in the person’s life. It is focused on helping address stigmas and stereotypes, goal-setting, self-discipline, and skill development that improves the person’s sense of hopefulness. Mentors and youth work one-on-one and are also offered opportunities to participate in groups, and adults in a peer-to-peer program.

Intervention Group Sessions

IGS focuses on students who are chronically absent suspended from middle and high schools to rekindle the commitment to learning and being successful in the classroom. IGS includes one-on-one mentoring and group activities. The program is preventive based and ends with a graduation.

On-going Individual & Group Mentoring

We match youth with trained, caring mentors who provide consistent support and guidance. Our mentoring programs emphasize soft skills development, positive reinforcement, and trust-building. Through regular interaction and goal-setting, mentors help youth achieve their personal and academic objectives.

Project Positive

Student-led initiative creating kinder school cultures through peer leadership, inclusion, and positive change.

Additional Services

Mobile Resources Centers

We extend our reach through community fairs, festivals, and local events, bringing resources directly to where they’re needed most. These mobile centers make our services accessible to broader communities and help us connect with youth and families in familiar settings.

Youth and Adult Job Readiness

Our career-focused programs help participants prepare for work and successfully transition into professional roles. We provide practical guidance and skill development opportunities that support long-term career success.

Special Initiative: Triumph Over Trauma

I’m Just Me Movement is the backbone organization of Triumph Over Trauma: Northern Shenandoah Valley Resiliency Initiative, we lead efforts to build a healthy, resilient community aimed at reducing the effect of trauma on children, youth, adults, and families. This initiative brings together multiple community partners to provide trauma-informed care and support across the Northern Shenandoah Valley.

Through Triumph Over Trauma, we provide educational resources and training to individuals and organizations to support trauma-informed care initiatives across the human services system. Our work helps create a community where all people feel safe, connected, and empowered to reach their fullest potential.
